About the Band
Santa Fe Concert Band Mission Statement:
The Santa Fe Concert Band continues a community musical tradition dating from 1865, by participating in civic occasions and offering free public concerts for everyone, ensuring that music is integral to the life of our community. The Santa Fe Concert Band welcomes amateur and professional volunteer musicians who together experience the joy of music through regular rehearsals and performances.

The Santa Fe Concert Band has on average 50 – 60 active, volunteer musicians, with our number varying some throughout the year.
The Santa Fe Concert Band organizes and performs a minimum of 10 to 12 free concerts per year, open to the public. We have a spring or fall concert at St. Francis Auditorium in the New Mexico Museum of Art, perform four outdoor concerts at Federal Park during the summer, and have a Holiday concert at The Lensic. We also perform music at the local civic events, such as Memorial Day, Veterans Day and 4th of July.
Our primary concert venues:
Federal Park – 106 South Federal Place; on the east lawn of the Federal Courthouse
St. Francis Auditorium – 107 West Palace Avenue; in the New Mexico Museum of Art
Lensic Performing Arts Center – 211 West San Francisco St
Fundraising Activities
Santa Fe Concert Band is a 501(c)3 organization. Our members pays dues to cover operating expenses of the band. Additionally, we organize several fundraisers throughout the year. Most recently, those comprise a Garage Sale, Walk for the Band and selling Farolitos.

Association of Concert Bands Convention
Santa Fe Concert Band, along with Albuquerque Concert Band and Los Alamos Community Winds, formed the New Mexico Association of Concert Bands Consortium (NMACBC). In 2022, we successfully hosted the National Convention in Santa Fe. Find out more about the Association of Concert Bands here.
